Their creative spirit lingers today and can be felt in every detail of the reimagined Renwick, from the books displayed in each room to the gestural brushstroke featured in the logo.
Once the site of oversized artists' studios and lofts, the building later became a long-stay hotel, sheltering residents—including authors John Steinbeck and Thomas Mann—for periods ranging from several months to many years. Inspired by the building’s rich history, The Renwick brand embodies the spark of creative production.
We wanted this energy and excitement to be expressed throughout the brand story and felt in everything from the staff uniforms to the photography.
The Renwick encourages guests to indulge their creative spirit – they can make their own origami pigeons (an ode to NYC) or mail letters home that detail their epic adventures in this great city.
